Introduction of a legal maximum level of pyrrolizidine alkaloids

```html
Pyrrolizidine alkaloids are mainly found in plant-based foods and honey. Instead of a legal maximum level, there has so far been a statement from the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) regarding the toxicological significance and their exposure.
As of 01.07.2022, Regulation (EU) 2020/2040 amending Regulation (EC) No. 1881/2006 applies. This regulation sets maximum levels for teas, herbal teas, food supplements, pollen products, and herbs.
In our Tentamus laboratories, we regularly conduct testing for pyrrolizidine alkaloids. We provide you with quick and reliable results.
Our customer advisors are very happy to assist you with any questions.
