FictionalName"Burger"

At the 19th Lemgo Food Law Conference on Meat and Meat Products, current questions regarding declarations were clarified.

Among other things, there was a discussion on what is meant by the term "burger".

In the guidelines for meat and meat products, the term "burger" is not defined. However, the terms Hamburger, Beefburger, and Cheeseburger are defined (guidelines for meat and meat products, guideline number 2.1.5.5).

Therefore, the sole designation "burger" is not sufficient on the packaging and must be complemented by an additional designation.

In the laboratories of the Tentamus Group, we regularly conduct examinations of meat and meat products. In addition, we are happy to advise you on declaration questions.

For any questions, our customer advisors are available to assist you.
