Raisins in Eco-Test: Pesticides, Increased Germ Count, and Mold Toxins

Öko-Test has tested 24 raisin products, including nine organic products. There was criticism particularly for pesticide residues.

In many raisins, residues of multiple pesticide active substances were discovered, sometimes exceeding the permissible limits of the Regulation (EU) 396/2005. Even substances prohibited in the EU were detected. In response to the test results, three products were withdrawn from the market.
