Recalls Safety Gate Cosmetics - October 2024

The rapid alert system EU Safety Gate provides information on potentially harmful cosmetics that do not comply with Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.

In the month of October, a total of 94 products were classified as “serious risk”. 

Reasons for this were:

• Prohibited fragrance Butylphenyl Methylproprional (Lilial / BMHCA)
• Prohibited fragrance 3-Cyclohex-3-ene-1-carbaldehyde (HICC)
• Detection of prohibited substances (e.g.: Zinc Pyrithione, CI 45170, Hydroquinone)
• Detection of p-Phenylenediamine (PPD) without coupler in henna hair colors

In Safety Gate, you can filter by type of products, publication date, and type of recall (microbiological/chemical).
