Strain comparison of bacteria using MALDI-TOF

The BAV INSTITUTE offers the possibility to compare bacterial strains with each other.

This allows conclusions to be drawn about their causes in the event of contamination or positive findings. Sources of contamination can be identified and eliminated more quickly, as strains from end products can be compared with strains from raw materials or from environmental investigations, for example. This comparison of strains is carried out using the MALDI-TOF method. These results are available on the same day after isolation of the strains, allowing prompt conclusions about potential contamination causes and the initiation of appropriate preventive measures.

This option for comparing strains of isolated microorganisms is also possible with the methods established at the BAV INSTITUTE for germs such as SalmonellaBacillus cereusStaphylococcus aureus… but also with others - please contact our customer advisors for individual consultations.
