Stiftung Warentest tests filter coffee for contaminants

Stiftung Warentest has tested 15 filter coffees for the November 2024 issue for substances considered carcinogenic including furan, acrylamide, saturated mineral oil components, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Only 3 of the 15 filter coffees scored "good" in the contaminant screening. Also notable were elevated aluminum levels that can occur through coffee machines: 8 out of 15 tested devices released aluminum.

At our Tentamus labs, we regularly conduct testing for contaminants. We provide you with fast and reliable results.

For questions, our customer advisors are very happy to assist you.
