Change in marketing standards for fresh fruits and vegetables, bananas, and dried products

As of January 1, 2025, new regulations for the marketing standards in the areas of fresh fruits and vegetables, bananas, and dry products have come into effect.

Providers are now required to specify the origin of fresh, ready-to-cook fruits and vegetables. "Ready-to-cook" refers to fruits and vegetables that are not offered as whole on the shelf but in a slightly processed form, such as peeled and grated carrots.
