Current regulations for retail under the Corona Ordinance
Since 20.04.2020, new regulations apply for retail facilities. These are to be considered prerequisites for the opening of certain facilities and concern, for example, the following technical and hygiene requirements:
- Suitable partitions must be installed at checkout areas between checkout personnel and customers, e.g., in the form of a transparent shield made of glass or plexiglass, or in case of emergency, in the form of a frame covered with clear plastic film.
- Floor markings must be placed in the approach to checkout areas with a minimum distance of 1.50 m as guidance for the customers.
- A general minimum distance of 1.5 m must be observed.
- Customers must be informed, either by posting or verbally, before entering the store that a distance of at least 1.5 m must be maintained from employees as well as from other customers whenever possible, and they are recommended to wear a mouth-nose covering (community mask).
- As an additional measure, employees should consider wearing a suitable mouth-nose protection (community mask) for the respective situation.
- General hygiene rules must be observed to a higher degree, e.g., providing customers with the opportunity for hand disinfection before entering the store if possible.
For further guidelines see "Guideline for the Opening of Retail". It is important to note, however, that the guideline is only valid for Baden-Württemberg and comparable guidelines apply in other federal states. Other interesting documents and links can be found below
