Fragrance Substances Cosmetics – Regulation (EU) No. 2023/1545

The declaration of allergenic fragrances for cosmetics has been newly regulated with Regulation (EU) No. 2023/1545 and the labeling requirements have been significantly expanded. With corresponding transition periods, additional substances such as camphor, menthol, or vanillin must be declared from an amount of 100ppm (rinse-off products) or 10ppm (leave-on products).

The first deadline is July 2026, after which newly marketed products may only be sold if they are declared according to the new fragrance regulation.
