Hair soaps and solid shampoos tested by Stiftung Warentest
A total of 18 products (hair soaps, solid shampoos, and liquid shampoos) are examined in more detail in the current June issue of Stiftung Warentest. The solid products are particularly interesting due to their environmental footprint and travel convenience and are an alternative to liquid products.
The following criteria were tested:
- Care properties and application such as combability, grip, smoothness, volume, and shine
- Packaging
- Declaration and advertising claims according to Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 and Regulation (EU) 655/2013
- Content of mineral oil-based synthetic substances
- Allergenic fragrances such as Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial)
14 of the total 18 products received a good rating, while the other 4 received satisfactory or sufficient. The test included both natural cosmetic products and conventional products.
