Health-damaging salmonella detected in pork rinds - product recall
According to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), 90% of foodborne infections in recent years are attributed to salmonella. As causes of gastrointestinal diseases, salmonella play a significant role worldwide. Common carriers of salmonella are especially poultry, eggs, and pork.
In pork rinds, salmonella was detected during self-monitoring. The manufacturer is therefore recalling the product as a precaution. Consumers who have purchased the product are strongly advised against consumption.
At the BAV Institute, we regularly conduct testing for salmonella and other pathogenic germs. We provide fast and reliable results and are happy to advise you on any issues related to product safety. If you have questions, our customer consultants are available to assist you.
