Microbiological Risk Management in Cosmetics

Microbiological Risk Management in Cosmetics

Cosmetic products must be safe. This is a fundamental requirement of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on cosmetic products. This also includes microbiological safety, which is regulated through microbiological quality management (MQM) as an integral part of the quality management system within the production of cosmetic products. In the current issue of the SOFW Journal, a detailed article by Mr. Ulrich Eigner was published on this topic, discussing the benefit and functionality of MQM. The MQM essentially consists of three main components: - Identification and analysis of microbiological risks that can lead to product contamination - Assessment of these risks - Implementation of appropriate corrective/follow-up measures The BAV Institute is happy to support you in implementing your MQM.
