NewRegulationsAndSubstanceBansCosmeticsFromDecember2023–VitaminA,Triclosan,Triclocarban&Co
Currently, a draft regulation is available, which, upon its adoption, will amend the Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 leading to bans and restrictions on substances:
- Ban on the UV filter 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor (Annex II)
- New maximum concentration restrictions (Annex III): Genistein, Daidzein, Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Alpha-Arbutin
- New maximum concentration restrictions (Annex III) with a label warning: Vitamin A (Retinol)
- Vitamin A-Acetate (Retinyl Acetate)
- Vitamin A-Palmitate (Retinyl Palmitate)
The restrictions are expected to apply from December 2023 following the adoption in autumn. Transitional periods are planned regarding the placing on the market or sale.
