Pluralibacter gergoviae – Recall of cosmetic products
Currently, a shower gel and a shampoo are being recalled from the market due to contamination with the germ Pluralibacter gergoviae (formerly Enterobacter gergoviae). An infection with this germ cannot be ruled out, especially in immunocompromised individuals and children.
The number of recalls involving this germ has increased in recent years. The BAV Institute analyzes cosmetic products and raw materials for you quickly and reliably for the presence or absence of this germ. As part of the testing according to DIN EN ISO 17516, we generally check the microbiological quality of products.
