Regulation (EU) 2019/229 amending Regulation (EC) No 2073/2005 on microbiological criteria for foodstuffs

On February 8, 2019, Regulation (EU) 2019/229 amending Regulation (EC) No. 2073/2005 on microbiological criteria for foodstuffs was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ L 37/106 of 8.2.2019).

The amending regulation includes, among other things, the reclassification of Enterobacter sakazakii (now: Cronobacter spp.), as well as certain types of Salmonella and the revision for ready-to-eat unpasteurized fruit and vegetable juices.

The regulation enters into force on February 28, 2019, and you can find it at eur-lex.europa.eu.
