Trainings according to § 4 LMHV
The BAV INSTITUTE also offers hygiene training courses and follow-up instructions according to § 43 Abs. 4 IfSG as well as training according to § 4 LMHV.
These trainings are legally required for all individuals who produce, handle, process, transport, or sell perishable foods, e.g., in retail, and must include the following topics:
- Properties and composition of foodstuffs in food businesses
- Hygienic requirements for the production and processing of foodstuffs
- Food law
- Goods control, shelf-life testing, and labeling
- Internal controls and traceability in operations
- Contingency plan and crisis management
- Hygienic handling of foodstuffs in food businesses
- Requirements for cooling and storage of foodstuffs in food businesses
- Avoidance of adverse effects on food when handling food waste, inedible by-products, and other waste
- Cleaning and disinfection
The training lasts approximately 5 hours. A test is conducted, and all participants receive a certificate.
