Specification review of cosmetic raw materials
Cosmetic raw materials intended for use in final products must meet certain quality criteria. When used in cosmetics, neither these substances nor substances formed by reactions of individual components may jeopardize the safety of the product.
The BAV Institute and its Tentamus laboratory partners support you in verifying the specification of a raw material as well as in creating corresponding specification data.
The most common quality parameters analyzed are:
- Microbiological quality according to DIN EN ISO 17516
- Density
- Viscosity
- pH value
- Appearance, odor, consistency
- Fatty indices
- Other risk-oriented parameters such as heavy metals, pesticides, etc.
Ensure the quality of your raw materials and comply with the requirements of Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. Data on the safety of raw materials are also required for the preparation of the safety report.
