To use CPNP, each responsible person must first register via "EU Login," an authentication service provided by the EU Commission. The goal of centrally recording cosmetic products is consumer protection. In case of serious adverse effects, all European authorities with appropriate access rights can retrieve important information from this database, such as essential oil or alcohol content or other safety-relevant data. These data points are queried during notification and must be answered in detail by the notifier.
