Stiftung Warentest: Nutritional Values of Frozen Pizzas Compared
Stiftung Warentest examined the nutritional values of 21 frozen pizzas in 2024, including three vegan products. While several varieties convinced in the sensory test for taste, every third product stood out due to particularly high salt and fat content. This can pose health risks, especially with regular consumption.
The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) warns against too high salt consumption, as it increases blood pressure and the risk of heart and kidney diseases, osteoporosis, and stomach cancer. Experts therefore recommend critically examining the salt and fat content in food and consuming more consciously.
